Moodbidri: Managers must be creative to face challenges – Kishore Alva

Moodbidri, 21 Feb 2018: A daylong Inter-Collegiate Management Fest, AGON 2018 organized by MBA department of Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology (AIET), Mijar, here, was inaugurated at MBA seminar hall on Tuesday, February 20.
The chief guest at the inaugural, Kishore Alva, executive director, Adani UPCL, congratulated the college management for organizing the mega event, which involved participants from prominent colleges in the region. He highlighted that commitment and hard work are the ingredients of a successful career. He stressed that young graduates should identify their unique points and work on to build on creativity and other skills.
The ceremony was presided by Vivek Alva, managing trustee, Alva’s Education Foundation®. In his presidential remark, Vivek stated that more and more fests like AGON are necessary to boost the confidence of students. If MBAs need to be successful, they must be different from others.
Principal of AIET, Dr Peter Fernandes encouraged students to be bold and explore the wide horizons and learn from their experience. He emphasized that the gap between industry and academia should be bridged.
Dean MBA - Professor Ramakrishna Chadaga delivered the preliminary address. Shubham Rai compered the programme. Vikas Shetty proposed vote of thanks. Event coordinator Dr Claret Mendonca and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
Following the formal program, various events and games were organized to test the managerial skills of the participants. More than 15 colleges have participated in this fest.
