Police constable in Belthangady suspended for Facebook post against Chief Minister

Belthangady, 02 Nov 2017: Police constable attached to Belthangady police station suspended from service for his derogatory facebook post on Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s recent temple visit controversy in which chief minister visited Dharmasthala temples a few minutes after his non vegetarian luncheon.

 

The police constable was suspected following an order from Dakshina Kannada district Superintendent of Police Sudheer Kumar Reddy on Wednesday. The constable is being questioned by the police inconnection with his derogatory remarks on facebook page, the sources said.

 

The police took action against the constable following a complaint from local congress leader. The suspended police constable is a resident of Benekatti village of Bagalkot district.
