Mangaluru: Scientific farming yields bumper crop, sustains small farmers - expert

Mangaluru, 28 Oct 2017: The Agricultural Science Centre held the live demonstration of harvesting of paddy under Integral Paddy Cultivation programme at the field of progressive farmer Somanat, in Kaliya village, Beltangady taluk, here, on October 25.

 

 

The paddy cultivation scientist Harish Shenoy offered motion for harvesting paddy on the occasion. He urged the farmers to follow scientific farming and offered info about soil testing, sowing the seeds, number of saplings, depth of each slot, manure etc.

 

The progressive farmer Somanath Krishnayya, Dinesh Gowda, Anand Salian, Narayanappa, Suresh Poojary, Praveen Poojary, Surendra, Manjappa Devadiga, Cyril Pinto and 20 farmers of Kaliya village were present during the programme.
