Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala geared up for PM Modi’s visit

Beltangady, 28 Oct 2017: PM Narendra Modi will be arrived at Ratnavarma Heggade grounds, Ujire, here, on Sunday, October 29, to attend the convention of members of self-help-groups (SHGs), promoted by Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), and we seek the co-operation of all for the success of this mega event, said Dr L H Manjunath, CEO, SKDRDP.

 

Addressing the media persons at Ratnavarma Heggade grounds, Ujire, here, on Friday, October 27, Dr Manjunath said that PM Modi will launch new programmes of SKDRDP during the visit.

 

The parking for vehicles is earmarked at nearby Janardhan temple, Anugraha School, Ajjarakallu ground and SDM Engineering College. The drinking water facilities and food counters were set up at all parking areas. The entries to the grounds are located at the rear with 5 entry points.  The security checks are located in 40 points to screen the people to let them in, he said.

 

The seating arrangements are being made in 12 divisions, with seating capacity for 5,000 people that can altogether accommodate 60,000 people. Sixty-thousand members of SHGs and 25,000 BJP activists are likely to attend the programme, he added.

· Moodbidri-based SKF will supply free packaged drinking water to 1 lac people
· The event will begin at set time

PM Modi will arrive at Dharmasthala to launch SKDRDP campaign of ‘Conserve Mother Nature for future generation, during the convention of SHGs members’ convention scheduled to be held at Ratnavarma Heggade grounds, Ujire, here, on Sunday, October 29 at 12.00pm.

 

He will also distribute RuPay Cards for account holders of SHG’s members opened under Jan Dhan Yojana.

 

SKDRDP will sign an agreement with SBI for cashless transaction of SHGs in the presence of PM Modi.

 

Union minister Anand Kumar, D V Sadanand Gowda and Anand Kumar Hegde, Karnataka minister B Ramanath Rai, MPs B S Yeddyurappa and Nalin Kumar Kateel, Beltangady MLA K Vasant Bangera, SBI chairman Rajneesh Kumar, Veerendra Heggade, Hemavati V Heggade, D Surendra Kumar, D Harshendra Kumar and others will be present on the occasion.

 

Over 1 lac people are likely to attend the mega event. The anti-naxal force combed Ujire, Dharmasthala and Kanyady on Friday.

 

The general traffic to and from Dharmasthala and Ujire will be allowed on Sunday till 9.00am on Sunday and traffic will be banned from9.00am to 2.00pm. The police issued orders to shut shops along Ujire – Dharmasthala from 7.00am to 2.00pm.

 

The general public is requested to occupy their seats by 10.00am.

 

VIP pass holders can enter the venue through the entry point located at nearby SDM College. Two-thousand-five-hundred policemen are on duty in Ujire and Dharmasthala. A control room has been set up at the grounds installed with CCTV surveillance.
