Mumbai: KCA Nallasopara distributes study materials to poor students

Mumbai, 07 Jun 2017: Konkani Catholic Association (KCA) Nallasopara, near here, on Sunday, June 4, distributed scholarship, uniforms and study materials to poor students.
KCA Nallasopara in collaboration with www.helpinghands.gives distributed the benefits to the poor students of locality during a simple function held at KCA office, Nallasopara (East), here, on Sunday morning.
KCA Nallasopara president Harry B Cutinho presided the programme.
Jeevan Kotian, one among founders of www.helpinghands.gives, Peter Fernandes and Imelda Sequeira distributed notebooks to over 200 students, uniforms and study materials to over 50 students and scholarship to 20 talented students.
Speaking on the occasion, Jeevan Kotian said parents have the responsibility to co-ordinate studies of their children with respective teachers. It will help them to improve their performance.
Harry Cutinho appealed the students not to have inferiority complex in availing help that will go a long way in their studies. He called on the students to study and carve better future for them.
KCA core Committee members Lilly Quadros, Ronnie Pais, Inez D’Souza, Laveena Dias, John Alva, Diana Moras, Rohinton Kaka, Hilda D’Souza, Richard Pinto, Romeo Fernandes, John Alva and others were present.
KCA honorary general secretary Claude D’Silva welcomed the gathering. The honorary treasurer Alwyn Francis D’Souza Mudarangady compered the programme. The vice president Gracy Pinto proposed vote of thanks.
