Bus facility for the students of Don Bosco English Medium School inaugurated

Udupi, 08 Jun 2017: A historic moment in the history of Don Bosco English Medium School was the 7 June 2017 when majestically stood 11 school buses ready to be officially blessed and inaugurated. The brief function started with a prayer song by the students.
The Correspondent Rev Fr. Stany Tauro welcomed the dignitaries and accorded floral welcome.The Secretary of CESU Rev.Dr. Lawrence D’souza, Zonal Manager of Syndicate Bank Mr. Sathish Kamath, Regional Office Manager of Udupi Mr. S.S Hegde Branch Manager of Shirva Mr. Ashok Nayak, Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council Mr. Wilson D Souza, Secretary Mrs. Leena Machado, Animator of 18 Commissions Mr. Melwyn Aranha, Members of the Parish Pastoral Council, Management and Finance Committee, Drivers, Helpers and Well-wishers were present.
Fr. Stany Tauro appreciated the co operation and support of the Syndicate Bank to achieve this mighty task. He lauded the efforts of Fr. Mahesh for everything that has been done for the school. Fr. Lawrence led the Blessing Prayers while the Principal Rev. Fr. Mahesh D’ Souza proclaimed the word of God. The prayer of the faithful was read by the students. As the priests proceeded towards the buses to bless them, the students sang the hymn “Showers of Blessings”.
The Zonal Manager Mr.Sathish Kamath expressed his views by appreciating the gesture of the church and the school for giving them the opportunity to serve them hand in hand in imparting knowledge. He mentioned that in Shirva the church and the educational institutions have been their valuable clients. Syndicate Bank has been serving since 91 years and is still strong due to the trust and co-operation of the people of Shirva. He urged the students to cultivate the habit of saving by starting an account in Syndicate Bank. He thanked Correspondent and Principal for allowing them to serve the society at large through the medium of education.
Rev. Dr. Lawrence D’Souza, Secretary of CESU in his message said that it’s a dream come true. It’s really a great day to see this task accomplished. Our mission is imparting value based education and every effort is been made through the implementation of school buses to collect the students from far areas.
