Bantwal: Sevanjali Pratistan, Farangipet distributes scholarship worth Rs 6.50 lac

Bantwal, 21 Nov 2016: If the students embody humanity and contentment in life, they can be top achievers in their future, said Karnataka former Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde.
Hegde was speaking during distribution of Rs 6.50 lac scholarship and Aam Admi project of Sevanjali Pratistan® at their auditorium, Farangipet, here on Sunday, November 20. It was jointly organized by Sevanjali Pratistan, LIC Pension and Group Insurance Branch, Mangaluru.
‘Amassing wealth within the framework of law is okay. Meanwhile, the wealth amassed because of too much greed will land you in troubles. It would be a hindrance to peace to reign in the society,’ said Hegde. The parents ought to teach moral lessons their children by being honest, added Hegde.
He also highlighted about the multi-crore scams that occurred in the country and appreciated the social welfare activities of Sevanjali Pratistan. He urged the scholarship recipients to contribute their mite to the organization that helped them in their studies when they are employed.
The veteran litterateur Yerya Laxminarayana Alva presided the programme.
ZP member Chandraprakash Shetty, LIC senior auditor S S Nayak also spoke on the occasion.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, LIC marketing manager V Rajesh Mudhola, LIC Mangaluru branch manager S Gururaj Rao, ZP member Ravindra Kambali, Bantwal town councillor Ramakrishna Alva, retired bank officer Suresh Rao were the chief guests of the occasion.
Sevanjali Pratistan chairman Arkulabeedu Vajranabha Shetty was present.
Sevanjali Pratistan managing trustee Krishna Kumar Punja welcomed the gathering. LIC – Udupi divisional officer P Vishveshwar Rao delivered the preliminary address. Sevanjali trustee Devdas Shetty Kodman proposed vote of thanks. The teacher B Ramachandra Rao compered the programme.
