Mangaluru: First rough copy of Beary-Kannada-English Dictionary ready

Mangaluru, 26 Jan 2016: Professor B M Ichlangod, editor of Beary-Kannada-English dictionary, Abdul Rehman Kuttettoor and Zohara Abbas, sub-editors handed over the first rough copy to Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy president B A Mohammed Hanif and registrar Umarabba, here on Monday January 25. The compiling of the dictionary was underway since 15 months.

 

 

The Academy president B A Mohammed Hanif said that the advisor Committee headed by Professor B A Vivek Rai compiled many Beary words and the rough copy of Beary-Kannada-English dictionary has been prepared. The final copy will be printed and released by 30 September 2016.    

 

The Academy members Hameed Padubidri, K Iddinabba Beary, Yousuf Vaktar, A A Ayesha Perla and others were present.
