Manasa students return after participating in the Floor Hockey Championship at Shimla

Pamboor, 24 December 2010: Students from Manasa Rehabilitation and Training Centre, Pamboor-Meenakshi from Secondary-B Section, Sunitha Lobo and Anusha from Secondary-A Section and Wilma Vaz from Pre-Vocational-B Section were selected for the Floor Hockey team at Bangalore on 15th November 2010 to participate in the Floor Hockey Championship in Winter Olympics that was held at Shimla from 14th to 19th December 2010. These four students who had left Bangalore on 10th December 2010 returned to Manasa on 23rd December 2010 after participating in the Floor Hockey Championship. They were the members of the Karnataka Floor Hockey team that won Silver Medal on the Winter Olympics held at Shimla. Sr. Vinny Gonsalves, the Principal of Manasa had accompanied these students to Bangalore and back to their school.

 

Miss Shiny M.C.,  the Physical Educator trained all these four students in the game of Floor Hockey. The principal appreciated the encouragement and support of all the teaching and non-teaching staff in helping these students in developing their abilities, training them and creating interest among other students to participate in all the games and to learn from each other.
