Farangeepete: Ruby Jubilee Celebrated by Nithya Sahaya Maatha high school

Arkula, Farangeepete, 05 December 2010: Nithya Sahaya Matha High School, Arkula, Farangeepete, celebrated their Ruby (40th) Jubilee celebration on Saturday 04th December evening at school grounds. Program was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Basil Vas - Parish priest of Alanagar church Moodbidri, who is also an old student of the School. Speaking on this occasion he said “I studied in this school and this school has sharpened my talents. We constructed the entire ground by shramdhan and we had 100 % results that year. I still remember my old golden days of Nithya Sahaya Matha, among all schools I studied.
Chief Guest. Rev Fr. Cyril Pinto - Parish Priest of Omzoor, addressing on this occasion, called upon all the locals to give support to the school and he promised to start P.U. College by next year. He also requested all the people to give moral support for this cause. P. Shivashankar - Zilla Panchayath Chief Executive Officer said “all the Catholic Institutions have Human believes, but this school has the Highest Values in the society. By seeing this program we can assume the discipline of this school. And today all the local people proved it by participating on this occasion in such huge numbers.
The program was presided over by Sr. Janet D’Souza - Provincial Superior of Saint Charles Boreomio Convent. On this occasion she said “our institutions run on 3 basic themes, they are Faith, Toil and Progress. And this institute has translated these into working methodology”. She also greeted all the staffs of the institute. She said “in order to organise such a big event old students have contributed a lot to this school. After forming the old students association in the school they have organized the whole program”. She also called upon all the old students, to donate and contribute for the Jubilee Smaraka Bhavana.
Other guests and dignitaries present on the occasion were B. Surendra Kamblee – President of Adyar Grama Panchayath, Sr. Lucy Mascarenhas - Head Mistress Kannada Medium, Sr. Precilla Lobo - Head Mistress English Medium, Francis Cutino - President of Old Students Association and Spiritual Director of Old Students Association Fr. Robert Lasrado.
Sr. Pricilla Lobo welcomed the guests and the gathering. The program was compeered by Florine Aranha and Sri Jayasheelamani. Anil Lobo proposed vote of thanks. After the stage programs, variety programs and cultural activities were performed. This was followed by Tulu drama by old Students. Around 3000 people attended this programme.
