Vajra Kaaya 2010 - State level tug-of-war competition

Udyavara, 26 October 2010: “If the young generation is always alert and work creatively towards the betterment of the society, then all the problems can be resolved” said Udayakumar Shetty President of BJP Udupi District. He was talking after inaugurating the “Vajra Kaaya 2010” men’s State level tug-of-war competition, organized by Udyavara Shanthinagara Friends Club at the sport ground near Udyavara Shri Ganapathi Temple.

 

 

Shri Esha Vitaladasa Swameeji of Shri Kshethra Kemaru Sandeepani Sadhanashrama, offered Asheerwachana and as he spoke he said that the responsibility of saving and growing the Tulu Sankskriti is on the shoulders of the young generation. Instead of identifying this caste or that caste, we all need to be proud that we all are Tuluvas. Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon spoke on the occasion and said that priority should be provided on those village games which will help the physical and psychological growth.

 

The program was presided over by Udupi Jilla Panchayath Member Nayana Ganesh. Other dignitaries present on this occasion were Udyavara Grama Panchayath Ex President Wilson Rajkumar, Rajani R. Anchan, Grama Panchayath Members Baskar Kotyan, Dinesh Karkera, Vinod Kumar, Kishor V. Salyan, Udyavara Billava Mahajana Sangha President Shekar Kotyan and Udyavara Shanthinagar Friends Club President Ramesh Acharya.
