Shankarpura Rotary Club marks “Jagathika Thiluvalika Dinacharane”

Shankarapura, 23 February 2011: “With a history of more than a century, the Rotary Club is a good platform for service minded people who are broad minded and who do not consider cast or creed. The contribution of Rotary Club is very unique as it provides the experience of universal citizenship and along with it provides the service to mankind and the world peace”. Said B. He was speaking on the “Jagathika Thiluvalika Dinacharane” organized by Shankarapura Rotary Club, on the occasion of 106th anniversary of International Rotary at the Rotary Shathabda Bhavan, Shankarapura. “International Rotary community which consists of only 12.5 lakh members and this International Club serves the International community in the fields of health, education, elimination of poverty and service to humanity, without any corruption or bias, systematically. Members who are involved in the service to the society, if actively participate in the politics, then the protection of democracy is possible”, he said.
Rotary President U. Nandankumar presided over the function and in his address he welcomed the gathered. Chairman of the function M. G. Nagendra was honoured for winning the best service award for Kunjarugiri Rotary of Shankarpura Rotary, during the Rotary District conference taken place at Koppa. Ex Rotary President Krishnamurthy Rao introduced. R. V. Prabhu offered well wishes. Secretary Henry Castelino proposed vote of thanks.
