The assurance of the Minister is far short of the election promises. To get votes made tall promises of 24 hrs power supply and there by after coming to power the state Government has played foul and cheated the voters. by Indulging in unfair practice the continue in power and loot the people in many ways. The Mescom is looting the consumers under the guise of inspection and wrong findings and charging heavy penalty. There after even though there is grave errors in calculations and misinterpretations of their own tariffs rules loot the consumers and direct them to appeal to Chief engineer Chamundeshwari Ele company at Mysore. Consumer Court though having juridiction the Mescom is playing stupidly through thier advocates and harass the consumers and threaten disconnections. The Hon ble Minister must look into these and help the village consumers. It is learnt that the departmental bosses after charging heavily settle the matter if they are paid Rs.5000(without receipt) and even completely drop the findings. In Karkala taluk this has been rampant during the last two months. But the consumers have no voice. This practice must be condemned by all.
