Bangalore: Church attack inquiry ends

Bangalore, 08 December 2010: The Justice Somashekhar Commission of Inquiry has completed its probe into the November 28 attacks on several churches in Dakshina Kannada and other parts of the state.

 

 

The commission received 1,019 petitions and examined 754 witnesses over 300 days, with 34 advocates representing various sections. The sittings were held in Bangalore, Mangalore, Udupi and Davanagere.

 

In a release, commission secretary N Vidyashankar said the inquiry is complete and the report has been reserved to be drafted and submitted to the government.
