Udupi: Lakshadeepothsava Celebrations

Udupi, 20 November 2010: The four day Lakshadeepothsava began at Shri Krishna Mutt on Thursday. Early morning Thulasi Pooje and Pakshijagara Pooje was performed. After noon lamps were placed in Ratha beedhi under the leadership of Shri Lakshmeevara Theertha Shripadaru of Shri Shirur Mutt. But the rain in the evening caused some problems for the lights and to the people to participate in the celebration.

 

 

In the evening the celebration concluded with the pooja, theppothsawa and rathothsawa at Madhvasarovara. The lights in the Madhvasarovara was was a great sight to watch. Lakshadeepothsava will continue until Sunday 21 November.
