State level Congress Convention to be held at Mangalore on Saturday, February 17

Udupi, 15 Feb 2024: Congress Party’s state level convention will be held at Mangalore on Saturday, February 17, 2024, said Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MP and minister.

 

Addressing a press meet at Udupi Press Club here on Wednesday, February 14, Vinay Kumar Sorake said that more than one lakh people are expected during the state level Congress state level convention. More than 15000 people from Udupi district will participate in the Congress convention.

 

Vinay Kumar Sorake said that we had shown poor performance in the recent election in undivided Dakshina Kannada district. However, this time the picture of the situation changed. In order to boost up the party workers’ enthusiasm and KPCC has decided to host the convention in Mangaluru which can the workers attend the convention from both the districts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada. The various committees have formed to the success of the convention. The Congress workers from all around the state will attend the convention, he said.

 

 

He said that from Udupi district, each booth level at least 20 congress workers will participate and around 300 buses are booked for the convention.

 

AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge will inaugurate the convention. AICC General Secretary Venugopal, Congress state in-charge Randeep Surjewala, leaders Rosy John, State chief minister Siddaramiah, KPCC president and deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar, state ministers, KPCC office bearers and other leaders will participate in the convention.

 

District Congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, Vice president Kishan Hegde Kolkebail, KPCC secretary Abdul Gafoor, District spokesperson Bhaskar Rao Kidiyoor and others were present during the press meet.
