Udupi: Sand sculpture created on occasion of World Stroke day Awareness

Udupi, 02 Nov 2022: KMC dean Dr Sarath K Rao unveiled the artwork created by sand artist Srinath Manipal as part of World Stroke Day Awareness art in association with department of community medicine, KMC Manipal, here on October 31.

 

 

The artwork depicts the risk factors that lead to stroke and how lifestyle choices can prevent them.

 

Dr Avinash Shetty, medical superintendent of KMC Hospital, spoke and emphasized on the changing lifestyle of the modern race. Dr Ashwini Kumar, Head of Community Medicine, explained the need for mental stress control and blood pressure control.

 

All the faculty, staff and postgraduate students of the department were present.
