Bantwal: Villagers lay seize to Sajipamunnoor GP office, as taps run dry

Bantwal, 02 Feb 2022: The residents of Shantinagar, at the limits of Sajipamunnoor, near here laid seizure to gram panchayat office, on Tuesday, February 1, as the tap water supply stopped since 4 days.

 

 

The angry women alleged that their elected representative for local council is not bothered to their water woes since its occurring almost every year.

 

Ayesha Banu, The panchayat development officer (PDO) of Sajipamunnoor who assured the angry villagers that funds are being earmarked to solve the recurring water woes in Shantinagar and assured them that the tap water supply would resume by Tuesday evening.

 

The agitators left the premises only after PDO’s assurances in restoring the water supply.
