District In-charge Secretary V Ponnuraj calls for Thumbe water level report

Mangaluru, 18 Dec: Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) managing director and DK district in-charge secretary V Ponnuraj instructed the municipal authorities to inspect the spot in maintaining water level to 7 meters at Thumbay vented dam that supplies drinking water to Mangaluru city.

 

 

Addressing the district progress review meeting that was held at Deputy Commissioner’s office, here on Tuesday, December 17, Ponnuraj advised the officials of civic body, revenue and survey department to coordinate in estimating the exact landholding that is likely to be inundated in maintaining the water level to 7 meters.

 

Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Roopesh, ADC M J Roopa, municipal commissioner Shanady Ajit Kumar, deputy conservator of forests Karikalan and other departmental officers were present.
