Pingara Rajyotsav Award-2019 presented to MozziQuit inventor Ignatius Orwin Noronha

Mangaluru, 13 Nov: Pingara, city-based Kannada Weekly, organized the award function of Fifteenth Pingara Rajyotsav Award – 2019 at Town Hall, here on Tuesday, November 12.
Mangaluru bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha presided the function and conferred the Award to MozziQuit inventor Ignatius Orwin Noronha, who invented environment-friendly mosquito repellent on the occasion.
Bishop complimented Ignatius for inventing MozziQuit that uses no chemical to eliminate mosquitoes and said it was environment-friendly measure. Pingara Kannada Weekly has chosen the most deserving person for the award, he said.
Speaking after receiving the award, Ignatius thanked National Institute of Malaria Research for recommending his name for the award. The award was significant for him as it recognizes his unrelenting efforts in inventing MozziQuit, a chemical-free device to eliminate mosquitoes.
Pingara editor Rymond D’Cunha, MLC Ivan D’Souza, Kannada Sahitya Academy former president Harikrishna Punaroor, Konkani Sahitya Academy former president Roy Castelino and others were present.
