Woman lawyer stabbed to death at Karnataka HC

Print Bangalore, 08 July 2010: A woman lawyer was stabbed to death at the Karnataka High Court in Bangalore on Thursday, and her is assailant is being treated at a city hospital after attempting suicide.
Naveena, 25, bled to death after being attacked Rajappa -- both were advocates at the High Court and knew each other from their home district Kolar. Rajappa stabbed himself in the neck after attacking Naveena in a corridor of the court, according to people who saw the incident.
The court has been adjourned for the day after Naveena’s death and questions are being raised how Rajappa managed to sneak in a weapon despite security checks.
