Traffic flow in Udupi changed from today

Udupi: After declaring Car Street a vehicle-free zone, the district administration has effected changes in the movement of traffic on several roads from Monday, according to a notification by Deputy Commissioner P. Hemalatha.

Hitherto, the stretch from Sanskrit College towards Kanakadasa Road was one-way. This would henceforth become one-way from Sanskrit College to ACC Complex, and then motorists will have to turn towards North School. The present two-way traffic from Novelty Junction to Mangalore Jewellers will become one-way from Novelty Junction up to Mangalore Jewellers. The two-way traffic on the Anugraha Hotel-Airody Jewellers Road will be one-way from North School towards Airody Jewellers and up to Mosque Road. Parking of vehicles on this road has been banned. The two-way traffic on Corporation Bank Road-Gurukripa Studio has been changed to one-way from North School side and Bharat Beedi junction up to Mosque Road. Parking on this road is restricted to designated spots. The stretch between Badagupete and Kalsank has been made one-way. The one-way from Kalsank to Car Street through Badagupete will henceforth be one-way in the reverse direction.
