Lifeguards save one more at Panambur beach

Mangalore, 27 Jan 2013: Lifeguards of Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project (PBTDP) rescued one more tourist at Panambur beach on Sunday.

 

The rescued Suraj (14), son of Subrahmanya, resides at Prashanth Nagar here.

 

He had visited the beach along with his family during the beach festival.

 

Beach project CEO Yathish Baikampady said the lifeguards saved as many as 72 people on the beach ever since the project started in 2008.

 

On Saturday, the lifeguards had rescued Sathish, 19, a resident of Mavinahalli, Arakalagudu in Hassan district, when he was about to be drowned.
