Udupi: D.K. District Champions in State School Athletics

Udupi, 30 November 2011: In the State level athletic meet for the Primary and High Schools conducted by Public Education Department at S.M.S. Pre University College Udupi, the Boys and Girls of Dakshina Kannada District have dominated and grabbed most of the individual championships and have also won the overall championship.

Individual Championship:

14 years category Boys: Anantha Prasad, D.K. District (200 m running – First, 40 m running – Second and 800 m race – Third)

14 years category Girls: Nivedita Prashanth Sawanth, U.K. District (Shot put – First, Discuss throw – First, Long jump – Second)

17 years category Boys: Ritesh Kumar, D.K. District (100 m running – First, 200 m running – First)

17 years category Girls: Varsha R., D.K. District (100 m running – First, 200 m running – First, 400 m running – First)

Team Championship:

14 years category: Boys – D.K. District, Girls – D.K. District

17 years category: Boys – D.K. District, Girls – D.K. District

Primary School Boys and Girls Team Championship – D.K. District

High School Boys and Girls Team Championship – D.K. District

Overall Athletics Championship – D.K. District
