Some of the top players who are the highest paid in club football where they scored maximum goals, did not play well at all in world cup. One of them is Ronaldo of Portugal who disappointed the fans. Messy of Argentina also could not score goal in this world cup so far. Either it is the strategy at world cup that does not suit them or may be because they are being tackled by more of the opposition players all around.
