I have fond memories of all my classmates. I am not at all a sports person but I have enjoyed watching my friends participate in sports. We used to have throw ball teams where everyone had to participate. While playing throw ball, I used to duck when the ball came racing towards me.
“If there was no high school in Moodubelle, my education would have stopped after the 8th standard. My parents would not have allowed me to go to Shirva or other places for my high school studies. Thanks to Fr. Abundius D’Souza and the people of Moodubelle who were chiefly responsible for starting St.
While in school, Alex had been dreaming of serving the nation by joining the Indian army. He fulfilled this dream after completing his SSLC examination in 1962. He served in the Indian army for 28 year and retired as junior commissioned officer (Honorary Subedar Major).
On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration of St. Lawrence High School this year, it would be worthwhile to know the achievements of some of the distinguished past students of this prestigious institution who have excelled in the field of their choice.
To recall one’s formative years in the school is always a pleasant experience. I am no exception to this. It is indeed a rare privilege for me to write my experiences and sentiments on the Golden jubilee of my school.
