Winter Picnic - 2014 Organised by Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha

Abu Dhabi, 08 Feb 2014: Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha one of the leading associations of Kannadigas in the capital city held annual “ Winter Picnic” at Al Watba Park  Al Ain Road On 7thFriday February 2014.

 

Cool weather added energy mood and emotions  to the success of the picnic. Buses carried Kannadigas to Al Watba Park where the picnic began with delicious break fast adding back  home memories of soil of Karnataka.

 

Abu Dhabi  Karnataka  Sangha  President & recipient of “ Karnataka Rajyotsava Award “ Mr Sarvotam Shetty welcomed the picnic crowd and announced varies activities of the day. The crowd was divided into eight groups namely   bands of colors wearing on their wrist.

 

Variety of games like passing the ball, rope  vest,  dog and boon, dodge ball, advertisement game Kannada song  dance, miming, weighing  water melon, guessing chocolates. Measuring the rope, bingo and queen’s demand kept the gathering engaged from the morning until evening. Each and every one took active participation in the games.

 

 

 

A kannada quiz prepared by Mangala Shetty  was an excellent   effort to remind   Kannadigas of their rich heritage, literature, history and unforgettable achievements of men of yester year. Games were also conducted for the children’s.

 

The advertisement game was  quite thrilled with lots of imagination, which was quite challenging. This event brought out hidden talents of the crowd.  A Grand Music was very much supported to the complete  event. The popular game  “ Queens  Demand “ enjoyed every body. Games were conducted by Sarvotam Shetty along with the assistance of the Managing committee members. A delicious spot prepared mouth watering  lunch served.

 

A surprise honoring held for  Mr. & Mrs. Sarvaottam Shetty  for there 30th wedding anniversary celebration  by Karnataka Sangha Team members was thrilled the crowd. For the treat Mr Sarvottam Shetty and his wife thanked the committee members and gathering.

 

Senior members  of the committee and guests  were  present   and  1st 2nd and 3rd prizes to the winners given in the end .  overall picnic was enjoyed by the huge crowd it was memorable movement for them  all credit goes to a dynamic leader Mr Sarvaottam Shetty  and his Team Managing committee members who organized the varies requirements were Pradip Kirodian, Sudhir Shetty, Altaf M S, Yogish Prabhu, Umesh Rao, Praveen Rao, Loyolla Pinto, Syed Siraj Ahmed, Vijay Rao, Chetana Prabhu & Mangala Shetty.

Food served from Maharaja Resturant of Ramee Group Hotels ( Al falah street ) and Prizes donated By Mr Jayram Rai, Group Finance manager of Bin Fardan Group.

 

Noel  Fernandes, Manmohan Rai, jayram Rai  & Thomas Muller were the judges of the event. At the end Mr. Sarvotam Shetty  whole heratedly thanked every one for participation  & co operation.
