Dubai: Konkan Bells organizes Fun-filled Picnic at Zabeel Park

Dubai, 31 Dec 2013: The metro-based Konkan Bells, an Association of Mangalorean expatriates organized their annual picnic at Zabeel Park here on Friday December 27.

 
The day started by invoking the blessings of God through a prayer offered by Metilda D’Souza.  Konkan Bells founder president Remigius D’Souza welcomed the gathering.

 
Remigius was unanimously elected as president for the consecutive third year.

 
Godwin and addressing the gathering and divided them into 4 groups in order to make sure the participation of everyone.

 
The yoga instructor C B Choudhary conducted a warm up session which put the gathering on right mood.

A lot of entertaining games were conducted in which all the people participated enthusiastically.

‘Sorbelli Mathari’ Konkani skit was one of the most entertaining act of the day.

The groups were also given a chance to create a Santa from the items provided in which the groups took active part by putting in their efforts with their creative minds.

Children enjoyed variety of games including a drawing competition.

Cutting of birthday cake by the members who celebrate their birthday this month was an additional attraction of the day.
The idea of picnic was to have a get-together on the eve of Christmas and to share the joy and happiness of the season with everyone.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Delicious lunch was being served by Dasprakash Restaurant.

The program was coordinated by the event coordinators, sports secretaries, Committee members along with Godwin and Roshni.

Prizes were distributed to the winners by Santa Claus.

It was indeed a fun-filled day which can never be forgotten by those who attended.

Hot tea and ‘golibaje’ was served to all. The fun-filled day was concluded on Friday at 6.00pm with a thanksgiving hymn.
