Udupi: Deepavali binds Humanity beyond Religious Limit - Pundalika

Udupi, 6 Nov, 2013 : The light has no prejudices on caste, creed and faith. The light is the replica of progress for the mankind and all living creatures on this earth. India has a distinct significance in the globe. The ancient culture that was exemplified in Sanskrit shloka: Lokaha: Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu – given a clear message of human values and knowledge. Deepavali festival is strengthening community bonds in the society, said the veteran intellectual B Pundalika Marate Shirva.
Pundalika was delivering a lecture on the significance of festival in Indian culture, during the Deepavali Sambrama – 2013 that was organized by Durganagar Friends and Hindu brethrens at the residence of Valerian lobo, near Biliyaru, Shankarapura, here on Tuesday November 5.
Pundalike offered information on the differences of religion and sect, patriotism. He also stressed on the role of youth in nation building.
The young leader Naveen Amin, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) zonal president Rajesh Acharya, Shankarapura – St John’s School leader Irene D’Souza were the chief guests conveyed best wishes.
Valerian Lobo presided the function.
Jyoti Friends Club president Harish Kumar welcomed the gathering. Dinesh Acharya proposed vote of thanks.
Sports competitions, display of firecrackers was held on the occasion.
