Mangalore: Kumaraswamy attends JD(S) Minority Convention

Mangalore,16 Dec: JD(S) minority convention was held at Bishop Jathanna Auditorium, KACES Campus, Balmatta on December 15, 2012. Scheduled programme was delayed due to technical reasons. A Mangalorean Catholic traditional cordial welcome was extended to the distinguished guests. Mr. Elias Sanctis welcomed the gathering.
Addressing the gathering Mr. Zameer Khan JD(S) leader said that the BJP has failed in retaining confidence of the people and it has created chaos. He added by saying that the opposing parties did not do anything good except false commitments and they have failed to discharge their responsibilities towards the welfare of minorities. He also said that if Mr. David Simion was the deputy speaker, it was only because of the JDS. JDS is a secular party which always stood by the minorities. Further he said that it’s only by re-electing Mr. H.D.Kumaraswamy as Chief Minister the people of the state can find peace and prosperity.
Mr. David Simion speaking on this occasion said that “Congress party has not done anything for the upliftment of Christian Minorities. Congress Party and State BJP Party is not concerned about the well being of the Minorities. They have ignored their existence and have not given them any positions. He urged the people to give an opportunity to Mr.H.D.Kumaraswamy to become the CM of Karnataka.
Addressing the gathering Mr. H.D.Kumaraswamy said that "During his tenure as the Chief Minister of the State his concern was towards all sections of the society. He listed the various welfare programmes launched by him for the downtrodden and all others. He requested the people to cast their votes for JD(S) and to re-elect him as the Chief Minister again. Kumaraswamy’s birthday was celebrated on the occasion by cutting a cake.
Mr. M B Sadashiv, the District President of JD(S) appreciated the work of Christian Community to the society especially in the field of education. He also said that Christians are peace loving people and the work of minority people is commendable all over. Mr. Sushil Noronha spoke about the Right to Live and narrated the helpless status of Christian people during the church attack.
Yuva JDS President Madhu Bangarappa; Former Ministers Mr.Nagaraj Shetty, former deputy mayor; Mr. Amarnath Shetty; Mr.M G Hegde(Secretary); Mr.Haider Parthipadi(State board member); Mr. Abubaker Natekal (JD(S) leader); Mr.Mohammed Kunhi (President DK Minority Christian JDS); Mr. Pramod Pinto; Ms.Judith Mascarenhas; & Mr.Vasanth Poojary were present during the programme. Mr. Ashwin Pereira, Secretary State Youth wing compered the programme.

Kumaraswamy u r doing wonderfull job for minorities. all christians should be aware of all these things.No doubt Congress minority vote bank will be split among 3 parties this time.but, JDS ONLY SHOULD WIN |
