Manipal: JDS President H.D. Kumaraswamy speaks in press meet

Manipal, 29 February 2012: Using the names of the father and sons (Deve Gowda and sons) Yeddyurappa came to power even though he did not have majority. Now he is trying to pull down Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda and again tries to come back to power and for this he is misusing the names of father and sons. But this time such opportunity will not be given, said JDS State President H.D. Kumaraswamy. He was speaking to the reporters when he came to along with his party candidate to file the nomination for the Udupi – Chickmagalur by election.

 

 

 
Yeddyurappa has said that, when he was the Chief Minister he saw to it that the father and the sons do not climb the steps of Vidhanasoudha, but now again they have begun to come. But after I became MP I have never even looked at the 3rd floor of Vidhanasoudha nor had any business with Sadananda Gowda. I do not know why Yeddyurappa is getting such imaginations, said Kumaraswamy.

 
When Kumaraswamy was asked to support Congress candidate instead of launching their own candidate for the election he replied that, if Congress party really believes in secular strength, then let them take back the nomination of their candidate and support the secular party JDS’s candidate in the election, he said.

 
In the state among the 20 by election it was JDS who properly stopped BJP and not Congress party. In this election JDS has won 8 seats, but Congress did not win even a single seat. In Bellary JDS did not even contest, but there Congress lost very badly. Congress has failed as an opposition party, he criticized.
