Doha: Top models on display at Qatar’s Car Show

Doha, 30 January 2011: Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassem Bin Jabor Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Qatar Motor Show 2011 is organized by Qatar Tourism Authority in partnership with Q-Media Events and GL events, organizers of Bologna Motor show, held at the Doha Exhibitions Centre on January 26 - 29, 2011.

 

The four-day exhibition, which took place at the Doha Exhibitions Center recorded a huge number of visitors who came to check out the latest and most exclusive sports, luxury and SUV models from 36 major car brands at the exhibition. This show has not only attracted the local automobile-lovers but a big audience from the region as well as international visitors who came to check out this one-of a kind exhibition. It has been an interest for those who are in the automotive industry, adventure-lovers and for all the fans who appreciate luxury, exclusivity and outstanding surprises. The queue of vehicles to the venue was at least a kilometre long on Friday.

 

Over 55 exhibitors including car accessory companies and more participated in this exhibition displaying over 135 car models, ranging from sports, luxury, mid-range, and concept cars. The appeal, the beauty and the style that characterise Italian car design took centre stage at the first international edition of the Qatar Motor Show, an exhibition dedicated to the automobile and to the world of motor vehicles.

 

 

Some of the car companies participated in the show were Accura, Alfa Romeo, Ariel, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Bugatti, Ferrari, Mini Countryman, Rolls Royce, Porsche, Range Roverand many many more.

 

Apart from the display of cars there were indoor entertainment like driving stimulators and playstation action. The driving stimulators and the reflex challenge games at the Shell (Ferrari) stand gave a chance to public to beat the professional driver’s times.

 

The outdoor activity included was drifting and motocross demonstrations as well as trest drive sessions of the latest  car and SUV models.
