Bengaluru, 20 Mar 2015: A new turn in IAS officer DK Ravi’s death case brings his IAS batch mate in eye of storm.

If sources are to be believed, DK Ravi was in love with his IAS batch mate and on Monday, March 16, he had called her almost 44 times.

It is said that Ravi had persistently pleaded her to marry him and the batch mate had continuously rejected the plea. Dejected by the same, on Monday he had even sent her an SMS stating that he would resort to taking a drastic step, in response to which, the lady in question had said “You are kidding”.

However, the last SMS sent by Ravi to the woman read: “Good Bye, We will meet in next life.”

It is said that the lady officer had met the Chief Secretary Kaushik Mukherjee in Bengaluru and let out several details, including the point that Ravi had proposed to her several times, which she turned down. With this, she had scotched all the rumours linking her up with Ravi.

The lady officer who is presently posted in Karnataka and is married to a software Engineer turned realtor.

The lady officer has assured to co-operate with the investigating officers.

It is said that Ravi’s marriage turned sour when his wife discovered of his one-sided love and threatened him of filing a dowry harassment case against him.

The dejection of being rejected by his love interest and pressure mounting at the family front could have had led Ravi to take this extreme step, it is now said.

Ravi, a 2009 IAS batch stood 34th rank while the lady in question stood 43rd rank.
