Manipal: Infosys and Manipal Varsity win with ease

Manipal, 8 Feb 2014: Infosys Mangalore and Manipal University scored comfortable wins in the Second Corporate Premier T-20 Cricket Tournament at Manipal University ground here on Saturday. Infosys beat Udupi District Police by 10 wickets and the University team beat Jugal Construction by 47 runs in the other match.

Eight teams are taking part in the two-day tournament being organised by the Department of Commerce, Manipal University. The teams taking part are; Infosys Ltd Mangalore, Tenvic Sports Education Pvt Ltd Bangalore, Jugul Constructions Pvt Ltd Mangalore, Sahil Online Media Network Bhatkal, Amals Mangalore, Udupi District Police, AJ Medicals Mangalore and Manipal University. The final will be played on Sunday.

 

 

Dr H S Ballal, Pro Chancellor, Manipal University Inaugurated the matches today. Dr Pradeep Kumar, Dean KMC, Dr Vinod Nayak, Sports Committee Secretary, Manipal University, Mr Shridhar H, Physical Education Director KMC, Dr Upendra Nayak were present on the occasion. Mr Sandeep S Shenoy, Head of Department of Commerce welcomed the gathering.
