Matthew 6:19 Stop storing up for yourselves treasure upon the earth ..20 Rather store up for yourselves treasure in heaven ..21 For where your treasure is there your heart will be also. I don t want to hurt any of our community members or our religious people, but i would show my finger at former parish priest of Udupi ,Our land, property trespassed by him without informing children in 1991 at belle. We,my family struggled a lot by the parish priest of udupi in the year 1991.Is like these priest only seeking the treasure or they follow the God s word ? Matthew 6:33 Keep on then seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness.. I have strong doubt on this priest ,Is they Lord jesus christ s followers or...??????

I do agree, we need ATMs Building, developments and good infrastructure in Belle. But do not ignore Grotto also. The bank building has come up and completed the project within no time but Grotto has been demolished over a year now and still we are in foundation stage. My question to the Parish Finance committee and priest that When can we have a grotto to our Belle Church?

ATM and the Bank increase the value of the entrance of our church. What a joke? I never heard something like this in our 100 years history of our church!! God help us.
Baptist Sequeira, Moodubelle Fri, November-8-2013, 3:50
I give an example of Kalsanka Manipal road. If the old buildings were left, would there be a such a beautiful, comfortable road. Any place gets developed only if the leaders, citizens and the religious places work together. ATM and the Bank increase the value of the entrance of our church. If intellectual people keep quite and pray, let it be like that. I had kept my view because Father is taking good moves, I support him.

Church Premises is a place of worship and not a place of business or commercial building .ATM facility may be new for Mr. Baptist and not new to me .We would have appreciated if new Grotto was constructed instead of commercial building and there by a beautiful place of worship is available 24/7 for the people, not ATM 24/7 inside the church premises .There is plenty land is available outside church premises where ATM can be installed by any banks. These days I am seeing Churches are getting involved with land dealings and fighting cases in court rather than spreading faith and hold the integrity of the congregation .The responsibility of beautification of Belle Pete shall be with Govt. Authority and not by Church council which we need to deal with and let church council deal with issue related to only faith and provide justice to the families where injustice is done by Church authorities as indicated by a loyal tenant.
Baptist Sequeira, Moodubelle Wed, November-6-2013, 9:44
Dear Denis, Dear Martis, Dear Francis Lobo, Grotto was required, but what if the church builds a new design grotto and increase the beauty and attraction so that more people gather near Grotto? You all are in Obiraya time still, have you used the ATM of belle? How useful it is for the people to get cash even in night time. Some of our brothers could able to open new shops like cold store etc... We must feel happy by that. Even now church has to have a good deal with Mr. Mukunda Kamath and all and sell off the land for good price and allow Belle to have good buildings and increase the beauty of Belle Pete. Only because of church owned old buildings entrance of church is looking old. We must encourage the church council to settle those lands with the shop owners.
Loyal Tenant, Moodubelle Wed, November-6-2013, 3:40
Dear Martis what you said right we have right to express our concern whether it is school or church doesn t matter you know our Belle peoples are like cats, just closing their eyes like no one see s you However we are the tenants of our beloved church still we paying the rent to the church land, for us divided rule We can t renovate or purchase the shop. On us church officials brought court stay we can renovate our shop only up to 500 rupees worth not more than that otherwise you will be punished! as you said because stupid governing council people took the advantage like a jackpot. Most of them given declaration to the church land made property in their name we didn t do such thing because we have great respect to our Saint. Devaru kotru poojary bidola! If you want any proof just check we are in right hand of our church.
Francis Lobo, Moodubelle Wed, November-6-2013, 10:35

I agree with Martis. These days all churches are commerical rather than place of worship. You might have recently seen in Germany the Bishop was asked to leave church for posh buidling spending money beyond the budget.Soon you may notice malls coming up in the church premises if public do not object such demolishing of Grotto.

Martis, Kattingeri/ Kabul Tue, November-5-2013, 4:27

Dear Denis and Belle Parishioner, I can understand ur feelings but some tough decisions are needed to survive. Couple of years ago oue the then governing council took a stupid decision to seel the church land to the residents and no one was opposed that.!!!!!!!!. Now there is nothing left to construct a busstand or something like that. People constructed their shops on the road. If a truck parked in front of any shop, it blocks the traffic of the entire locality. I don t want to hurt your feelings, but I want to say you guys that the Belle church is neither the first one nor the last one to demolish the monuments like GROTTO.

Philip Mudartha, Charlotte, NC, USA Fri, October-11-2013, 7:43
St. Lawrence Church and its parishioners have to raise finances to balance the books of accounts on its own. The church buildings, its clergy and faithful who use church and clerical services have to pay up and bear the costs. The Belle parish cannot and should not look up to handouts from other parishes in India or from abroad and certainly not Vatican. It should be independent and pay for itself. I would like this objective to be embraced by every parishioner. I would also like the Parish Priests paid a stipend, or salary on which they can reasonably live like average parishioners live, (not like the poorest of the poor). I recommend that the parish committe may be disbanded and the a new one elected by ballot secret or public. Especially, I like the idea that the dissenters may be given a chance to manage the finances for atleast a term of two years.
Belle Parishioner, Moodubelle Thu, October-10-2013, 3:32
Dear Denis Grotto is not giving money but karnataka bank can! that's why our short vision church committee leaders authorised to demolish. Best thing remove the churchgate make a church commercial complex very good to make our shopping, then go for the mass!!
DENIS MENDONCA, MOODUBELLE Thu, October-10-2013, 8:27
