Ragamalika Abu Dhabi Presents Mega Classcical Concert “Swara Raga Sudha 2013"

Abu Dhabi, 25 Apr 2013: Ragamalika Abu Dhabi presents  Mega Music Event with a musical concert of renenowed artists from India under the banner “Swara Raga Sudha 2013 “ at the Sudanese Club Abu Dhabi on 2nd and 3rd May 2013. 

 

Please attend this classical musical mega event with your family members and friends on both the days i.e, Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd May 2013 at Sudanese Social Club.  It is an wonderful opportunity to all spend a most peaceful and harmonious weekend by watching the wonderful classical concert: Swara Raga Sudha 2013.

 

Ragamalika is a Cultural organisation formed by few Classical Musical enthusiast in the year 2004 to promote Indian Classical Music in UAE  in general and Abu Dhabi in particular. As on date Ragamalika has presented around 75 concerts in Abu Dhabi by renowed artist like Padma Bushan Sri TN Krishnan on Violin, Padma Shri Kadri Gopalnath, Padma Shri Smt. Sudha Raghunathan, Kalaimamani Smt. Kanyakumari,  Smt Bombay Jayashree, Smt. Nithyasree, Priya Sisters Smt. Shanmukha Priya and Smt. Hari Priya, Smt. Soumya, Sri T M Krishna, Sri Sanjay Subramanian, Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan  to a name a few and many other upcoming and budding artist in the last 9 years.

Ragamalika presents bi-monthly concerts and holds the Annual Music season ’’ SWARA RAGA SUDHA ’’  in the month of April every year in Abu Dhabi at Sudanese Social Club. This year in its annual concert to be held on May 2nd and 3rd 2013, the first day starts with Purandaradas Jayanthi a tribute to Saint Purandaradasa  by rendering Dasar Krithis by members of Karnataka Sangha members of Abu Dhabi followed by Carnatic Veena Recital by the most sought after artist Kalaimamani Sri Rajhesh Vaidhya and his team. Sri Rajhesh Vaidhya is known for the pace of speed he plays on the Veena with Shruthi and Talam not being disturbed.

 

 

On friday 3rd morning the programme starts with a tribute to Saint Thyagaraja with rendetion of Pancharatna Krithis by the Mahila Sangha of Abu Dhabi followed by a carnatic Vocal Concert by young budding talents from Chennai  Sri Krishna Mohan and Sri Ramkumar Mohan - a duet concert accompanied by their father Trichur Sri Mohan on Mridnagam, Dr. Hemalatha on Violin  and Sri Anirudh Athreya on Kanjira.

 

The same evening at 5 pm a tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his 150th Jayanthi celebration is to be perfomed by students of Team - Mohana from Dubai and followed by a Grand finale  a Musical Offering by the one and only expressive artist Sri T M Krishna accompanied by Dr. Hemalatha on violin, Sri Arjun Kumar on Mridangam and Sri Anirudh Athreya on Kanjira.

 

Year after year the concerts draws a huge audience a turn around of 1500 for each concert and people turn out for the concert from different regions of UAE. Ragamalika is a household name in every music lovers heart in UAE and everyone of them is served with lunch / dinner after the concert. It is not only a music feast but also a feast of mouth watering dishes after the concert.

 

The concert is supported by few leading Corporates and most of the contribution comes from the music lovers and well wishers of Ragamalika.  The association plans to celebrate the 10th year anniversary with one week music festival in the year 2014.
