Mangaluru: Minister Basavaraya inaugurates Blood Camp at Yenepoya University

Mangaluru, 20 Sep 2016: Yenepoya University, Yenepoya Physiotherapy College in collaboration with South Canara Physiotherapy Teachers Association, organized mega blood camp at Yenepoya Auditorium, here on Sunday September 19.

 

Karnataka higher education minister Basavaraya Reddy inaugurated the blood camp here on Sunday morning.

 

 

He lauded Yenepoya University for organizing mega blood camp because voluntary blood donation indeed is a noble act that saves lives of trauma patients. 

 

Karnataka food and civil supplies minister U T Khader was present at the dais.

 

Yenepoya University finance controller Farhad Yenepoya, finance officer Mohammed Bawa, Kannur and Calicut University retired vice chancellor Professor Abdul Rehman, Yenepoya Physiotherapy College principal Professor S Padma Kumar, Yenepoya Nursing College principal Professor Asha P Shetty, deputy registrar Dr Abdul Rehman and others were also present.

 

Yenepoya University vice chancellor Dr M Vijayakumar welcomed the gathering. The registrar Dr Srikumar Menon proposed vote of thanks. Veena Pais and Smita compered the programme.

 

Over 100 teachers, students and office staff contributed their blood during the camp.
