Mumbai, 10 Jun 2016: Billawa community has not grown to the expectation. Despite we have influential leaders in our community, the scant regard for education since long time perhaps attributed to this issue. Meanwhile, in order to promote entrepreneurship and empower the young educated in the community. Billawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has been formed. I hope it will be great source for the all round growth of community, opined N T Poojary, founder president of BCCI and president of Billawa Jagruti Balaga Mumbai®.
Billawa community is classified in OBC has influential leaders to reign in nation. The youth of community are deprived of education, employment, entrepreneurship, leadership for different causes and that has not prospered as expected. BCCI will strive for the prosperity of entire Billawa community, said N T Poojary in an interview with Bellevision Mumbai correspondent Rons Bantwal.
Q: How can BCCI help youth among Billawa community at the globalization era?
In this IT era, more one learns less it is and the new generation is quite ahead in this regard when compared with others. The successful entrepreneurs can mentor the youth who love modern gadgets to become future entrepreneurs.
Q: Whether BCCI would limit its activities to organizing seminars, symposiums, business tours, felicitations etc?
Certainly not, the seminars, symposiums, business tours etc are necessary to open new vista for entrepreneurship among veteran and youth. We have planned to award annual award in order to recognize the significant service and talent.
Q: Whether the members of Billawa Jagruti Balaga were given priority in electing office bearers of BCCI?
It’s not justified! The office bearers of BCCI were elected among the members of different Billawa associations. There is no discord among us. All Billawas are united for prosperity. It would be difficult to give prominence to all leading Billawas in the nation as BCCI has just formed. Meanwhile, we aim to give due prominence to all among the community in the future.
Q: How would you promote youth talent?
The objective of BCCI is to promote entrepreneurship among the youth. The successful entrepreneurs of Billawa community who are settled worldwide maintain low profile. They would be contacted to share their knowledge by organizing get-togethers.
Q: Since you are a successful young entrepreneur, how would you manage BCCI to focus on?
Our community leaders are only concerned of their status and never thought about mentoring successors. The youth are much talented than the veterans. Its irony that youth is not getting their due recognition for their talent. If this attitude is shunned, the youth would be more energized. I hope to work in this regard for the betterment of community. If the veterans support the youth who are willing to be beneficiaries, I have committed to take BCCI to greater heights.
Q: What is the role of Billawar Mahamandala, Akhila Bharata Billawar Union, Billawar Association etc in helping BCCI to excel?
All these are Billawa associations striving for the prosperity of Billawa community. They have extended their support in forming BCCI that is ready for launch.
Q: How many members you have in BCCI now? What’s your future plan?
We have enrolled 300 members in just 1 month, with plan to reach 1,000 by end of 2016. Later, BCCI chapters will be launched across the nation to manage it efficiently.
