Bantwal: 3 persons of same family die in ghastly road mishap in Chennarayanapattana

Bantwal, 19 Feb 2016: Three persons of same family who are the residents of Kavalakatte, near here, died in a ghastly road mishap at Chikkagondanahalli, Chennarayanapattana in Hassan district, when a marauding truck hit their Maruti Alto car that they wee travelling on Thursday February 18.

 

The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Jayakeerti Indra, his wife 48-year-old Vageshwari and their son 30-year-old Prashant.

 

 

They were returning to their home in Kavalakatte, near here in a car from Bengaluru when a marauding truck hit their car. All of them were passed away on the spot.  

 

Jayakeerti and family was living in Kumarapalya, Bengaluru since 8 years, while their son Prashant was working as claims manager in a insurance company there. They were on their way to attend a wedding ceremony in Mangaluru on Friday February 19.

 

Jayakeerti was famous in Kavalakatte, because he owned a traditional soda shop. His brother Pradeed rushed to the spot and made arrangement to bring the dead bodies after autopsy in state-run hospital at Chennarayapattana, Hassan.  

 

The last rites were held at Jayakeerti’s in-laws ancestral home at Bijila in Machina village of Beltangady taluk on Friday evening.
