Karkal: Yekalavya famed Karate Coach Karthik Kateel demonstrates self defense skills to girl student

Karkal, Dec 22, 2014: At the backdrop rising incidences of sexual abuse in the country, the renowned Karate coach Yekalavya famed Karthik S Kateel, demonstrated the simple self defense techniques that is popular overseas countries at St Joseph’s Kannada and English Medium School, Belman, near here on Monday December 22.

 

 

Karthik demonstrated how quick one can repulse the attacker by hitting on vulnerable spots, precautions and safely exit.

 

Karthik’s mother classical dance teacher Shobhalata also demonstrated other techniques to maintain mobility of body to face any imminent attack.

 

The Kannada medium School head teacher Sr Monica welcomed the gathering. The English medium School head teacher Janet D’Souza was present. The senior teacher B Pundalika Marate compered the programme.
