Mangaluru: St Joseph’s High School, Bajpe bag state level football championship

Mangaluru, 07 Dec 2014: The girl students of St Joseph’s High School, Bajpe, near here bagged state level football championship held at Vijayapur. The football tournament was organized by department of youth empowerment and sports from December 3 to December 5.

 
In the first match, St Josephs High School girls beat Chitradurga by 6-0 goals. In the quarter finals, Bajpe girls beat Uttar Kannada by 4-0 goals. In the semi-finals, Bajpe team beat Bagalkote by 6-0 goals. In the final match, Bajpe girls beat Coorg by 3-0 goals.

 

Ahaliya Khan scored 7 goals in the tournament. This is the third major victory for the St Josephs High School girls.

 
The national level tournament will be held in Bellary during January 2015.
