Mumbai: Krushi Harish Shetty Yermal Award conferred on theater artiste Harish Shetty

Mumbai, 12 Oct 2014: Kala Jagattu Mumbai® convened their thirty-fifth annual general body meeting at Radhabai T Bhandary auditorium, Bunts Bhavan, Kurla (East) here on Saturday October 11.

Kala Jagattu Mumbai® president Tonse Vijayakumar Shetty presided the programme here on Saturday evening.

World Bunts Federation vice president Harish Shetty inaugurated the programme.

 

Ajit Rai Pade was chief guest of the occasion.

 

 

The renowned social worker and entrepreneur Shyam N Shetty, Ikala Harish Shetty, B Vivek Shetty, Anand Shetty Tonse, Manjunat Bannur, Bhaskar Shetty (Vasu) Vashi, Anand Shetty Yekkar, journalist Chandrashekar Palettady, medical officer Dr Sadanand Shetty Sion, Konkani veteran theater artiste Francis Fernandes Cascia, metropolitan police officer Prakash Bhandary, Ashok Purohit and others were present.

Krushi Harish Shetty Yermal Award, comprising Rs 50,000 was conferred on cinema actor, theater artiste and Kalajagattu Sa Re Ga Ma Pa division convener Harish Shetty. Kalajagattu Artiste’s Award, comprising Rs 25,000 was conferred on theater artiste Suresh K Shetty.  Manorama N B Shetty Award, comprising Rs 25,000 was conferred on renowned theater artiste Manjunat Shettigar.

Kalajagattu Annual Talent Award was conferred on theater artiste Satish Shetty Kaup.  Kemmennu Gopalakrishna Rao Memorial Award conferred on Yakshagana child artiste Apeksha Shetty and Sugandi Raju Shetty Mundkoor Angadiguttu Memorial Award conferred to child artiste Anwit Ashok Shetty.

Oriye Mage Oriye, Tulu play was presented by the artistes of Tulu Koota – Dombivali and Gubbacchi, Kannada award winner play was presented by Kalajagattu theater group, as part of cultural programme.

Kalajagattu vice president Laxman G Kanchan, secretaries Krishnaraj Shetty and Chandravati Devadiga, treasurer Raghuveer Bhat, joint secretary N Pratviraj Mundkoor, joint treasurer Mundkoor Ashok Shetty, vice president Jagdish Rao, convener Prabhakar Shetty and others were present.

Kalajagattu president Surendra Kumar Hegde welcomed the gathering.  Dayasagar Chowta compered the programme.
