Bantwal: Public vents anguish over electrocuted cow near garbage dump

Bantwal, Jul 26, 2014 : The general public vented their anguish here on Friday July 25, over the death of a cow that died due to electrocution caused by a broken live wire from a nearby transformer, besides which a garbage bin is located. The cattle usually rummage on the leftover food and plantain leaves that are scattered all over the garbage dump. The cow belonged to a certain Ramesh, resident of Ganadapadpu, here.
The angry public has taken the town councilor and electricity provider Mescom officials into task who arrived at the spot, over the issue.
The garbage is being dumped at the spot that lies closed to Mangalore – Bangalore national highway 75, not far from city center.
