Mumbai, 22 Jul  2014 : The Governor of Maharashtra K. Sankaranarayanan yesterday felicitated renowned scientist Prof. CNR Rao on being conferred the Bharat Ratna award at a public felicitation in Mumbai.

 

The felicitation was organised by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in association with the University of Mumbai and the Ruia College.

A report `Whither Science Education in Indian Colleges?`brought out by the Observer Research Foundation was also released on the occasion.

 

Smt. Indumati Rao, Dr Sudheendra Kulkarni, Chairman, Observer Research Foundation and Dr Suhas Pednekar, Principal, Ruia College were prominent among those present on occasion.
