Abu Dhabi : Holy Quran Recitation Open Competition inaugurated at ISC

UAE, Jul 21, 2014 : A much awaited inauguration ceremony of the Holy Quran Recitation Open Competition was held by India Social & Cultural Centre Abu Dhabi at the main auditorium on July 19 amidst well known dignitaries. 

 

In commemoration of Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Father of the Nation, India Social & Cultural Centre Abu Dhabi is conducting the Holy Quran Recitation Open Competition in association with the Ministry of AWQAF. This is the first of its kind by the ISC which is reaching the Golden Jubilee year of its formation.

 

Beautiful Qirath was recited by Ibrahim Abdulla, programme director, M C  Hamid Ali explained the details and conditions of programme.

 

Vinod ISC Hon General Secretary Welcomed the gathering. ISC President Natarajan thanked all the dignitaries for accepting their invitation and making the event successful. The Programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Col Yosuf Ismail Al Khoory Deputy Director of Immigration Dept.

 

 

Mohammed Abdul Khaleq Al Khoory- Director General office of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al- Nahyan, Capt. Mohammed Yousef Al Khoory, Patron of the Organizing Committee, Dr Francis Cleetus, Patron Governor- ISC, P Bava Haji, Hon. President, Indian Islamic Centre, Chairman of the Judging Committee - Dr Anas Al Kassar, Abdul Nasser Mohammed YusufSahli, Her Excellency Dalal Al Qubazi - Director Board Member of Chamber of Commerce, Sheikha Maskari were present.

 

JoJo Ambookan is very much appreciated by all for his beautiful stage concept & design decoration of the Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque Abu Dhabi which is the main attraction of Holy Quran Recitation Open Competition 2014 ISC. JoJo Ambookan was the Project Manger for the UAE pavilion in Expo 2000 conducted in Germany and grabbed the I st position among 100 countries.

 

The event was coordinated by Rafeek P Kayanayil (Hon. Treasurer of ISC). KMCC conducted the photographic exhibition with the coordination of ISC which beautifully portrayed the life style of HH Shaikh Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE culture. Hon. Vice President Bijy M Thomas proposed the vote of thanks, where he thanked all the sponsors, well-wishers and media.
