Mangalore: Humanity put to shame - Father rapes daughter

 

Mangalore, 28 Jun 2014: A 47-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping his teenaged daughter for the last several months, police said.

 

The accused, a resident of Karambaru at Bajpe, had been living with his 17-year-old daughter and wife’s sister after his wife passed away few years ago, they said.

 

He was a habitual drunkard and has been accused of raping his daughter since past several months. Locals, who came to know about the issue, complained to the child line authorities and the man was arrested last evening, police said.

 

The child line officers raided the house of the accused and handed him over to the police, they said, adding that the girl has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
