M’lore: Father-in-law shoots daughter-in-law over family dispute

Mangalore, 14 Jun 2014: A case of a father-in-law fatally shooting his daughter-in-law has been reported from Balugodu in Subrahmanya police station limits on Saturday.

 

 

Superintendent of Police Sharanappa DS who confirmed the incident said as per preliminary reports reaching him, the accused Nagappa Gowda allegedly shot Vidya, 26, his daughter-in-law over a family dispute. "Nagappa wanted his son and daughter-in-law to leave the house at Balugodu," SP said.

 

Noting that full details of the case and the circumstances under which the incident took place will be ascertained only after visiting the spot, Sharanappa said the type of weapon used and number of shots fired will be known later.

 

 

"Senior police officials led by Puttur deputy superintendent of police are on the spot. It is a remote interior village and at least 4-1/2 hours by road from the district headquarters," SP said. A case has been registered in Subrahmanya PS.
