Bangalore, 6 Jun 2014 : Garden city went green today, as it observed the World Environment Day with students from TRIO World School conducting a green drive by distributing plant saplings to the public at MG Road. The initiative was evoked in an attempt to make Namma Bengaluru more greener and eco friendly.
Over 35 students enthusiastically participated in the occasion carrying banners and placards with messages to save the environment. They proudly handed over around 1000 plant saplings to each commuter passing by in an effort to encourage people to create a greener Bangalore. Students were delighted by the response received from people. This was a small but determined step in creating awareness among the general public towards saving the environment.
“It is believed that any positive change in habit and culture is developed only at tender age which once inculcated remains forever. The initiative was aimed at motivating the students and the people to come forward and do their part in creating a greener environment for a sustainable future. We can save our environment by changing our outlook and we hope this initiative inspires many others to become the change agent”, says Mr. Naveen K M, Managing Director TRIO World School.
