Minister U T Khader meets union railway minister Sadanand Gowda over creating M’lore Rly Zone

Mangalore, 3 Jun 2014: Karnataka health and family welfare minister U T Khader met union railway minister D V Sadanand Gowda in New Delhi on Tuesday June 3 and urged the latter to set up separate Mangalore railway zone.
The minister Khader also urged union minister D V Sadanand Gowda to set up educational railway corridor between Manipal - Mangalore – Konaje; in order to develop Ullal and Someshwar railway stations and to lay foot-over-bridge at Tokkottu junction on Mangalore – Ernakulam national highway.
The union railway minister Sadanand Gowda responded favourably to the demands and said that he is in the process of preparing railway budget and offered assurances to fulfil the demands once the budget is tabled in parliament.
The minister Khader was accompanied by state energy minister D K Shivakumar.
