Udupi: Offering of Silver Chariot at Kunjarugiri on May 21

Udupi, May 20, 2014 : Seventeen-and-a-half feet high chariot made out of 240 kilograms of silver will be offered unto Goddess Devi at Durgadevi temple, Kunjarugiri, near here on Wednesday May 21, said Swami Vishwapriya of Adamar mutt.
Addressing media persons during media conference at Durgadevi temple, Kunjarugiri, here on Monday May 19, Swami Vishwapriya said that Swami Subhudendra of Mantralaya mutt will offer the silver chariot unto Goddess Devi on Wednesday at 12.10pm. The offering of puja will be held at 8.00pm.
Swami Vishwapriya will preside the programme after the Vedic celebrations at the temple, here on Wednesday afternoon.
Swami Vibhudendra of Raghavendra mutt will be present on the occasion.
Bharat Ratna scientist Professor C N Rao, Deputy Commissioner Dr Muddu Mohan will be the chief guest.
Adamar mutt Divan Venkataramana Mucchintaya, temple priest Raghavendra Bhat, manager Rajendra Rao were present at the media conference.
